As an independent musician- my work spreads wide into many facets. From setting up tours, to graphic design, to producing, to promoting, to multi-media publicity, to webpage tinkering (getting there!), to CD distribution, to finding the creative energy to still sculpt and nourish my craft- saying I do a lot is an under statement.

Just a few short weeks after I moved to Cali from NY in 2006, I was recording with a local producer and setting up shows in San Francisco and LA. Getting plugged into a new scene is exhilarating and mysterious. My gypsy ways have carried me through evolving communities, crash-pads, musical tastes and even names. After 6 years- I am closer to my dream every step of the way.

I am on the brink of something beautiful- and I take it day by day. I continue working- playing out- recording- and staying true to myself. I went from playing empty cafes to packing well-known venues…from recording in a family friend’s garage to recording AND producing in a state of the art studios…from never playing with other musicians to rocking the f*ck out with full bands- I see tangible growth. All while caring for and teaching kid, creating community, traveling, writing, recording- I’m very grateful for my path, all the lessons and the amazing fan base I’m building on the west coast, my current home in Cali- especially my Bay Area family. As much as Cali has won my heart, I’ll always have my roots in New York.

It’s all been such a journey…and this is just the beginning.

February 2012- I continue to live in Oakland, California where I am recording my 2nd full length CD in collaboration with ARK MUSIC PRODUCTIONS. The new album will be out this June! Keep your ears and eyes OPEN! I work with children in San Francisco and Berkeley and I am the founder of a successful concert series and fund raiser called WOMYNZ VOICE.
